Strategic Investment in Defense Cybersecurity
Athens, March 2, 2026 – ThreatScene, a company specializing in cybersecurity, and EFA GROUP, an international group with a strong Greek presence in the fields of Defense, Security, and Aerospace, announce the establishment of their joint venture, THYREOS CYBER, with the objective of developing advanced defense cybersecurity capabilities.
THYREOS CYBER is a purely defense-oriented initiative in the field of cyber technology, with a mission to strengthen the protection of critical and defense infrastructures against modern and evolving threats. This strategic partnership combines ThreatScene’s operational expertise in advanced cyber defense operations and threat simulation with EFA GROUP’s deep experience in mission-critical and defense systems, forming a comprehensive cyber-readiness framework for the modern defense environment.
A central pillar of the new company is its Cyber Range platform integrated with Digital Twins, representing the first military-oriented infrastructure of its kind in Greece. Within a secure and fully isolated digital environment, realistic attack and defense scenarios are simulated, while Digital Twins accurately replicate real-world systems and networks. This enables training, procedural testing, and measurable assessment of operational readiness without any risk to existing infrastructures.
THYREOS CYBER provides comprehensive services including adversary simulation, penetration testing, complex response-improvement exercises, as well as incident response support, digital forensics, and threat hunting across corporate, industrial, and defense environments. Its objective is the substantial enhancement of prevention, detection, and resilience against advanced cyber threats, both at the operational and strategic levels.
The establishment of THYREOS CYBER strengthens the Greek defense technology ecosystem and creates the conditions for accelerating investments in cutting-edge technologies with an international outlook, contributing to the enhancement of Greece’s position on the global defense innovation map.
“The establishment of THYREOS CYBER marks a strategic investment in the operational readiness and resilience of the defense and critical sectors,” stated George Menexis, CEO of THYREOS CYBER.
“By combining specialized cybersecurity expertise with a deep understanding of defense systems, we are creating a comprehensive framework for training, evaluation, and operational enhancement that meets the demands of the modern digital battlefield. Our goal is to position Greece at the forefront of defense cyber technology, delivering internationally compliant solutions with a strong deterrence-oriented focus.”
Katerina Tasiopoulou, CEO of ThreatScene, commented: “THYREOS CYBER is a targeted, defense-oriented initiative designed for the new environment of hybrid threats. In this environment, cyber capabilities determine resilience and continuity of operations. THYREOS CYBER was created to enhance the cyber-readiness of critical and defense infrastructures through realistic preparation and clearly defined operational criteria.”
