EFA GROUP’s companies made a dynamic presence in the International Defence Exhibition – IDEX 2021 which took place in Abu Dhabi from 21 to 25 February 2021. EFA VENTURES, THEON SENSORS and SCYTALYS presented innovative products and services that won the interest of the visitors of the exhibition.
THEON SENSORS presented the latest technology products, such as thermal binoculars, thermal periscopes, night-vision monoculars and binoculars, with visitors showing particular interest in the MIKRON-D, one of the lightest and smallest binoculars of the market.
At THEON SENSORS’ booth, which was constantly crowded, international customers and leading foreign delegations had the opportunity for the first time to be introduced to the DEFENDER Quantum 360° imaging camera, which has monitoring, recording and data analysis system with live streaming and metadata capability directly to remote locations. The Quantum 360° camera has already been successfully installed in the vehicles of the Baltimore Police Department and Law Enforcement Service, one of the most demanding security services in the United States.
With two new products, the MIMS Ranger and the MIMS Naval, SCYTALYS joined IDEX 2021, giving a dynamic response to the demands of the market for higher interconnection of different assets in the field of defense communications and Interoperability, Command & Control systems. Both systems offer upgraded capabilities for regular navigation and Data Links, composing a common operational picture on land, air, sea, increasing mission΄s efficiency.
The visitors’ interest was great for the above systems and services, but also for the new industrial synergies that EFA VENTURES undertook to create both with UAE and international defense companies.
The exhibition is considered particularly important as it has attracted the interest of the entire global defense market, given the fact that similar international exhibitions have been postponed or converted to digital for almost a year due to the pandemic, which means that IDEX 2021 has enabled live chats and substantial collaborations.
